Some men have trouble with erection from time to time. Some men, however, have erectile dysfunction, or ED. This is when it's hard to get or maintain an erection solid enough for sexual intercourse. Erectile Dysfunction is generally caused by the insufficient blood supply to the penis or by complications with the nerves that regulate erections. This is due to other factors, such as hardening of the heart, elevated blood pressure, and high cholesterol or diabetes.
Some men have trouble with an erection every now and then. It's usual. These problems can arise at any age. But older men, who also have other health issues, are more common. Treatment can support both older and younger males.
